2013 Mortgage Burning Ceremony

  • 2013 marked an incredible end to our capital campaign, "Preserving Our Shelter, Securing Our Future." Delts from all generations took part in the largest capital campaign in chapter history to pay the remaining debt on the mortgage for the house and secure the future of Epsilon Delta. On November 2, 2013 the members of Epsilon Delta House Corporation led the ceremony of burning the mortgage note symbolizing the last payment of the mortgage.

During the ceremony House Corp. President Jim Gilbreath gave an emotional tribute and announced the name of the lodge going foward will be the "Hance House." No one has given more to Epsilon Delta than Chancellor Kent Hance. He's given his time, his money, and even opened his home to the chapter for special events. He takes a personal interest in the undergraduates and his dedication and love for our chapter will never be forgotten.

Thank you to the members of the House Corporation for your continued service and dedication. Epsilon Delta owes you a tremendous debt of gratitude. Click here for a list of our contributors.
